Lifeclinic® Neurologist, Alexandre Amaral e Silva, Coordinate the First Post Graduate Training Specific to Stroke

Cerebrovascular diseases continue to represent the leading cause of death and disability in Portugal. This course aims to provide physicians, nurses, therapists and cardiopneumology technicians with particular interest in this area, a complete training program in cerebrovascular diseases, contribute for the training of skilled health professionals by a integration into a multidisciplinary team dedicated to stroke, and provide specialized training in this pathology.

"A theory and practical course offers a multidisciplinary approach to matters under discussion, (...) the training program will be structured in a dynamic way allowing each student to outline, by selecting Units, a tailor made plan to their specific needs and interests" said Alexandre Amaral e Silva.

This course includes the involvement of a broad group of national and international experts with specific knowledge of issues related to the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cerebrovascular pathology.

"At the end of this course, it is intended that graduates meet solid theoretical knowledge with practical skills that enable them to clear full integration into teams dedicated care to patients of cerebrovascular court" concludes.
